As part of his presentation to postgraduate students on November, Wednesday 15, Professor Boesak unpacked the pedagogies of resistance born out of the agency of the oppressed people during apartheid South Africa. He reiterated the importance of the liberation theology born out of the faith and spirituality of the freedom fighters. This, he noted, was the beginning of a black theology as a counter-narrative to the oppressive politicised theological discourse of the time … an era that marked the ‘kairos’ moment.
