Elections 2021: KZN Christian Council to deploy mediators should unrest break out

The KwaZulu-Natal Christian Council (KZNCC) is ready to deploy mediators across the province should unrest break out over election results.

Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Simanga Kumalo said they were anticipating that people who are unhappy with the election results could take to the streets and express their dissatisfaction by protesting.

Kumalo said this was anticipated because of the low voter turnout.
